I’m Madeline, the photographer behind Mitzi and Rose, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I love photography as a medium to highlight the beauty of connection. It’s an honor to capture different seasons of life for my clients, and I strive to hold space that feels both playful and calm.
My goal in a session is to create a comfortable space where we can have some fun and get lightly polished and joyfully spontaneous imagery.
My background as a preschool assistant teacher makes me uniquely qualified for young family dynamics, and a love of theater and performing ensures we don’t take things too seriously.
During sessions you can expect playful direction, and warmth and curiosity with your children. Specifically you can expect me to give direction into poses, play games with your littles during the session, and capture both polished and candid moments so you get a mix of posed images and unplanned gems
Some things I love to photograph… the way your loved one was looking at you, the way your child grabbed your hand, the blur of a twirl… in addition to everyone smiling toward the lens. If this resonates with you too, I’d be a good match as your photographer.

Pick Your Date
You choose a date that works best for you on my calendar. Before submitting you’ll answer some questions so I can get to know you and your family better. Once I receive your date request, I’ll send you a client agreement and session fee payment options — completion of these officially reserves your date!

We’ll confirm our shoot location and you’ll receive a Session Guide so you’re confidently prepared for your session. If you have any questions, I’m just an email away!

Session Day!
The best part! You already know what to expect so our session is a breeze. Then 2-4 weeks after our session your images are delivered in a customized online gallery.
